Hyderabad: Deepika Padukone made headlines last week when she was rushed to a hospital after feeling unwell while shooting for ‘Project K’.
The Bollywood diva reportedly returned to the set after being examined by doctors at a private hospital.
The film’s producer Aswini Dutt has now revealed that there was no health scare per se. Deepika actually visited the hospital as part of a ‘routine’ check-up post a bout of COVID-19.
Dutt blamed the media for blowing the matter out of proportion.
“Earlier she was down with COVID-19, but after recovering she left for Europe. And straightaway from Europe, she landed on our film sets. After mild fluctuations in her BP, she visited the hospital for an hour for a routine check-up just to make sure that everything was normal,” Dutt was quoted as saying by a portal.
Describing Deepika as a ‘true professional’, Dutt said she resumed shooting immediately.
“Deepika ji is a true professional. We asked her to take ome rest, but she resumed shooting with Amitabh Sir directly. Her dedication is amazing,” the producer said.
The Nag Ashwin-directed ‘Project K’ has brought together Deepika and South superstar Prabhas for the first time.
