Puri: The Forest Department officials rescued a deer, trapped in a net at Gaindola village of Chhaitana Panchayat under Puri Sadar police limits, on Wednesday.
The rescued deer is a male and is about three years old, informed Balukhanda Forest Officer.
According to sources, as the deer are destroying the crop, the farmers had laid net in the paddy field. The deer got trapped in the net.
On being informed by locals, forest officials reached the spot and rescued the deer.
