Bhubaneswar: Senior BJP leader and Defence Minister Rajnath Singh will be on a one-day visit to Odisha on Thursday ahead of the Lok Sabha and Assembly elections in the state.
During his visit, the Union Minister is scheduled to attend saffron party’s programmes in Nabarangpur, Berhampur and Baripada, BJP’s Odisha unit president Manmohan Samal said.
As per schedule, Rajnath Singh will reach Nabarangpur by a special helicopter from Jagdalpur Airport in Bastar district of Chhattisgarh in the morning.
The Union Minister is scheduled to attend the BJP core committee meeting from 11 am to 12 noon in Nabarangpur.
Thereafter, the Defence Minister will proceed to Jagdalpur Airport from where he will leave for Berhampur by a special chopper.
Rajnath Singh will arrive at Rangaelunda air-strip in Berhampur at 1:30 pm and at around 1:45 pm to 2:45 pm, he will address a executive members meeting in Berhampur.
The Union Minister will then leave for Mayurbhanj by a special helicopter from Rangaelunda Air-strip at 3 pm.
Rajnath Singh will arrive at Amarda air-strip in Mayurbhanj district at 3:30 pm and there also he is scheduled to attend Executve members meeting from 4 pm to 5 pm.
After attending various programme in three districts of the state, Union Minister Rajnath Singh will leave for Delhi by a special helicopter from Amarda Air -strip in Mayurbhanj district at around 5:30 pm.
