New Delhi: A foreign handler connected to the Faridabad “White Collar” Terror Module sent 42 videos related to bomb-making to one of the accused in the Delhi car blast case, investigators have revealed.
According to reports, Muzammil Ahmad Ganai (35), a doctor and colleague of Umar Nabi, who drove the car that blew up near a gate of the Red Fort metro station in Delhi on November 10, received the 42 videos on bomb-making from the handler via encrypted apps.
Ganai is the one who is suspected to have arranged the storage for explosives used by the terror module. He was arrested 10 days before the blast and the police recovered over 2,500 kg of explosive material, including 350 kg of ammonium nitrate, from his premises.
Investigators also claim that they have identified the three handlers involved in the Delhi blast case as “Hanzullah,” “Nisar,” and “Ukasa”. These are clearly aliases. The handler who goes by the name “Hanzullah” reportedly sent the videos on bomb-maki
ng to Ganai.
Another handler, Mohammed Shahid Faisal, who goes by aliases such as “Colonel”, “Laptop Bhai”, and “Bhai”, is a person of interest due to his suspected coordination with terror modules in Karnataka and Tamil Nadu since 2020.
Faisal is suspected to be linked to multiple attacks, including the Coimbatore car suicide bomb blast on October 23, 2022, the “accidental” Mangaluru autorickshaw blast on November 20, 2022 and the Bengaluru Rameshwaram Cafe blast on March 1, 2024
Faisal, also known as Zakir Ustad, as an engineering graduate from Bengaluru. He reportedly went missing in 2012, following the exposure of a Lashkar-e-Taiba-linked terror plot in Bengaluru involving young engineers, doctors, and other professionals. He allegedly fled to Pakistan after authorities labeled him a key conspirator.
He is believed to have moved to the Syria-Turkey border later and his identity was confirmed during the National Intelligence Agency (NIA) probe into the Rameshwaram Cafe blast. Faisal has been named as an absconding accused, according to the report.
The handler who goes by the name “Ukasa” is reportedly based in Turkey.
Security and intelligence agencies have interrogated key suspects from Islamic State-linked modules associated with the missing handler Faisal since the Delhi blast. These individuals are now in prisons in Karnataka and Tamil Nadu.
