Bhubaneswar: Passengers were de-boarded and frisked at Biju Patnaik International Airport (BPIA) in Bhubaneswar after a Delhi-bound IndiGo flight received a bomb threat from an unknown caller on Monday evening.
The plane was also thoroughly scanned.
The authorities received the bomb threat just before the scheduled departure of the flight.
This came almost 10 days after BPIA and Veer Sudendra Sai Airport were put on high alert and bomb disposal squad along with sniffer dogs were pressed into service following a threat on the X about a bomb being present on an Air Akash flight that had landed here from Bengaluru. However, the threat was later found to be a hoax.
