Delhi Bride Dies While Dancing At Her Destination Wedding In Nainital

New Delhi: In a shocking incident, a bride passed away after she collapsed while dancing at her mehndi ceremony in Nainital on Saturday. Despite immediate medical attention, she was pronounced dead at the hospital.

Shreya Jain (28) was originally from Delhi and had arrived at the luxurious resort in Nakuchiyatal with her family and friends for her destination wedding. While the groom and his family were from Lucknow.

The bride’s father, Dr Sanjay Jain, is a paediatrician and runs Shreya Specialist Polyclinic in Delhi’s Dwarka.

The deceased bride’s grieving father, Jain while talking to Times Of India, said, “My daughter had completed her BTech and MBA and was very happy about her wedding. The groom works in an IT company in Lucknow.”

“The marriage was planned for Sunday, and the mehndi ceremony was happening on Saturday evening when she collapsed while dancing. Doctors at Bhimtal community health centre confirmed that she had possibly succumbed to cardiopulmonary complications,” Bhimtal SHO Inspector Jagdeep Negi.

He added that the Jain family has requested no further legal proceedings and conducted her cremation in Delhi.
