New Delhi: The Delhi High Court on Wednesday refused to stay the streaming of ‘Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl,’ featuring Janhvi Kapoor’s on an OTT platform.
The ruling was in response to a plea alleging that the film, rpduced by Dharma Production depicts the India Air Force (IAF) in a bad light. On behalf of the court, Justice Rajiv Shakdher asked the Centre why it did not request a stay before the film’s release on August 12, India Today reported.
The court has also asked for Dharma Productions, the producers of the movie, and the OTT platform showcasing the movie to respond to the Centre’s plea. In addition, the court suggested that former Flight Lieutenant Gunjan Saxena, whose life the film upholds, should also be made a party to the suit. A notice was issued to her seeking her response to the Centre’s plea, the report added.
