Bhadrak: Delhi police arrested a youth from Bhadrak district on Saturday for alleged cyber fraud amounting to Rs 1 crore.
Police sources said the accused, Rajendra Malick, was arrested from the house of his in-laws at Naraharipur village in Dhusuri police station area. He is a resident of Bari in Jajpur district.
The sources said Malick, who owns a travel agency, used to book train and flight tickets for people by using fake IDs. He also duped people of money on the pretext of getting them jobs at Delhi Airport by hacking the software.
Malick used this modus operandi to loot Rs 1 crore, the sources added.
According to reports, a resident of Delhi had lodged a complaint against Malick on December 2. Following this, Delhi police traced the accused to Bhadrak district and arrested him on Saturday.
