New Delhi: A day before his retirement, Delhi Police Commissioner Amulya Patnaik on Thursday got a month’s extension after the Election Commission extended his tenure in view of February 8 Delhi Assembly elections.
The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) had earlier written to the ECI, seeking a month’s extension for Patnaik.
He was appointed as the Delhi Police Commissioner in January 2017.
A native of Odisha, he is from the 1985 AGMUT cadre of the IPS.
