New Delhi: A day after the nationwide launch of the COVID-19 vaccination drive, Delhi Health Minister Satyender Jain on Sunday said there have been 52 cases of adverse reactions.
While 51 of these reported minor complications, one was a “slightly serious” case, the minister added.
This particular vaccine recipient is a 22-year-old security guard at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS). He was admitted in the hospital’s ICU on Saturday night and is stable now.
“The remaining 51 (people vaccinated) did not have to be hospitalised. They were only observed for a short while,” news agency ANI quoted the minister as saying.
Incidentally, vaccine recipients at AIIMS, Delhi were administered Bharat Biotech’s Covaxin, which is still in trial stage, NDTV reported.
