Delhi’s Air Quality Remains “Severe” For 5 Days In A Row

New Delhi: With winter spreading its wings in the north, air pollution levels have shot up. In Delhi, the air quality has remained “severe” for five days in a row now with AQI hovering over 400.

Wind speed and stubble burning are the chief reasons cited by experts.

The air quality on Tuesday was recorded to be 469 at 9 am. The average on Sunday was 416.

Faridabad recorded 462, Ghaziabad 483, Noida 476, and Gurugram 475.

An AQI between zero and 50 is considered “good”, 51 and 100 “satisfactory”, 101 and 200 “moderate”, 201 and 300 “poor”, 301 and 400 “very poor”, and 401 and 500 “severe”.
