Cuttack: Eight new cases of dengue were reported in the city on Saturday.
They were reported from Khan Nagar, Kathagada Sahi, SCB campus, Nuabazaar and Santa Sahi areas of Cuttack.
According to sources, 27 blood-samples out of 119 from different parts of the state had tested positive for dengue on a single day. These included six cases in Jajpur, five in Kendrapara, four in Balasore and three in Bhadrak districts.
At present, 51 patients are undergoing treatment in the dengue ward of SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack.
