Dengue Prevention Awareness Drive In Bhubaneswar Tomorrow

Bhubaneswar: The Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation will carry out an intensive dengue prevention awareness drive in the city limits on Saturday.

A team of the BMC led by senior officers of different areas would move around the city during the drive which will start around 8 am.

Separate teams will lead the drive in the three zones. The places where the drive will be carried out are as follows:

SR zone: Sriya Square, Kulibasti, Budheswari colony and Saheed Nagar Puja Mandap.

North zone: Tarini Basti Ward 8; Damana hata basti near Daman square and ATM square at Niladri Vihar

SW zone: Gandhi basti at ID market and Rental Colony basti.

Fogging will be carried out at Suriya Chhak, Gandhi basti ID Market and Tarini basti near Care Hospital.

The dengue status on Friday stood at 505 cumulative confirmed cases with visits to 5,366 households. A population of 22,260 has been covered  and source reduction done at 1,390 sources while larvae was found in 533 sources.
