Dense Fog Warning For 4 Odisha Dists Till Jan 30 Morning; Temp To Rise Further



Bhubaneswar: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Wednesday forecast dense fog at four places in Odisha during the next two days.

Warning has been issued for isolated pockets in districts of Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Kendrapada and Bhadrak till January 30 morning.

The weather agency has also predicted a gradual rise in the minimum temperature by 2-3°C during the

next two days, with no large change thereafter.

The state has been witnessing a rise in day and night temperatures over the last few days after a prolonged cold spell. The minimum temperature in state capital Bhubaneswar rose to 16.6°C on January 28 morning. The city had recorded below normal temperatures of 14.6°C on January 27, 14.5°C on January 26 and 13.4°C on January 27. Similarly, Cuttack recorded a minimum temperature of 14.6°C this morning, compared to 13.6°C the previous day.

On January 27, the twin cities logged a maximum temperature of 31.7°C and 28.6°C respectively.

According to the IMD, the night temperature is likely to hover around 17-18°C in these cities during the next seven days, while the day temperature may touch 33°C in Bhubaneswar.
