Bhubaneswar: Amid steady rise in temperature, dense fog is likely to blanket several parts of Odisha during the next two days, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said on Friday.

In a weather bulletin, the Meteorological Centre in Bhubaneswar said dense fog is likely to engulf Jagatsinghpur, Kendrapada, Bhadrak, Balasore, Khurda and Cuttack on Friday night and Saturday morning. Yellow warning was issued for these districts.
Similarly, yellow warning for fog was sounded for Bhadrak, Kendrapada, Jagatsinghpur Puri, Khurda, Cuttack, Dhenkanal, Jajpur, Ganjam, Gajapati, Nayagarh, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Keonjhar, Deogarh, Sundargarh, Angul and Koraput for Saturday night and Sunday morning.
Likewise, the districts of Bhadrak, Kendrapada, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Khurda, Cuttack, Ganjam,
Gajapati, Kalahandi, Kandhamal and Sundargarh will be covered by dense fog on Sunday night and Monday morning.
Meanwhile, dense fog blanketed several areas of the state on Friday morning, significantly reducing visibility and causing inconvenience to commuters.
The fog affected Mayurbhanj, Balasore, Bhadrak, Jagatsinghpur, Kendrapada, Cuttack, Dhenkanal, Khurda, Puri, Jajpur, and Keonjhar districts. The low visibility hampered vehicular movement on roads, leading to delays and caution among drivers.
The weather agency stated that minimum (night) temperature is likely to rise by two to three degree Celsius during the next two days in the state. There will be no large change in temperature thereafter.
