Bhubaneswar: A thick blanket of fog is likely to engulf some parts of Odisha during the next two days, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) informed on Wednesday.
Yellow warning has been issued for one or two places in Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Kendrapada, Jajpur, Bhadrak, Khurda and Dhenkanal till 8.30 am on Thursday. Shallow to moderate fog is also likely at a few places in Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Mayurbhanj, Dhenkanal, Khurda, Puri and Ganjam during this period.
One or two places in Ganjam, Kandhamal, Nayagarh, Khurda, Cuttack, Angul and Dhenkanal may experience dense fog in the subsequent 24 hours. Shallow to moderate fog has been forecast for a few places in Gajapati, Ganjam, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Nayagarh, Khurda, Cuttack, Angul, Dhenkanal, Boudh and Jajpur.
The MeT further said that the night temperature is likely to gradually rise by 3 to 4 degree Celsius during the next 3 days with no change thereafter.
