Dense Fog Likely In Odisha’s 6 Districts, Cold Wave From This Day

Bhubaneswar: Light rain is likely at one or two places in Keonjhar and Mayurbhanj districts and dense fog to envelop six districts in next 24 hours.

The India Meteorological Department’s regional centre, here, in its bulletin has forecast that dense fog is very likely to occur at one or two places in Jagatsinghpur, Cuttack, Nayagarh, Kandhamal, Gajapati and Ganjam districts.

Shallow to moderate fog is very likely in coastal Odisha, Dhenkanal, Kandhamal, Rayagada, Kalahandi, Koraput, Angul, Keonjhar and Mayurbhanj.

In temperature forecast, the IMD has stated that minimum temperature (night temperature) is very likely to fall gradually by 3 to 5 degree Celsius across the state for 3 days from January 28. As a result, cold wave condition is likely prevail in Jharsuguda, Bargarh, Bolangir, Sonepur, Sundargarh and Keonjhar districts.

The highest maximum temperature of 29.0 degree Celsius was recorded at Rayagada while Balangir registered the lowest minimum temperature of 13.5 degree Celsius in the last 24 hours.
