Dense Fog To Engulf Odisha For 3 Days; Night Temp To Rise By 2-4°C

Bhubaneswar: Dense fog is likely to engulf several parts of Odisha for the next three days, reducing visibility considerably, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said on Saturday.

While chilly conditions continued in the state, night temperature is likely to increase in next three days and again drop thereafter.

In a bulletin, the Meteorological Centre in Bhubaneswar issued yellow warning of dense fog in some places of Koraput, Kandhamal, Cuttack, Khurda, Angul, Keonjhar, Dhenkanal, Nayagarh, and Sundargarh districts in next 24 hours.

Similarly, shallow to moderate fog may occur at one or two places of Jharsuguda, Puri, Sambalpur, Kalahandi, and Jajpur districts.

Dense fog is also likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Koraput, Kandhamal, Cuttack, Khurda, Angul, Keonjhar, Dhenkanal, Nayagarh, Sundargarh on Sunday.

Shallow to moderate fog very likely to occur at one or two places over the district of Jharsuguda, Puri, Sambalpur, Kalahandi, Jajpur, Bhadrak, Ganjam, Gajapati, Jagatsinghpur, and Kendrapada

On Monday, dense fog may occur at one or two places over the district of Koraput, Kandhamal, Cuttack, Khurda, Angul, Keonjhar, Dhenkanal, Nayagarh, Sundargarh.

The weather agency said that minimum temperature (night temperature) is likely to rise by 2-4 degree Celsius during next three days and thereafter fall by 2-3 degree Celsius during subsequent two days in the state.
