Bhubaneswar: The office of the Special Relief Commissioner (SRC) has issued advisory for controlled plying of vehicles after the India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Tuesday predicted dense fog for five Odisha districts.
The SRC issued the alert to DGP and Transport Commissioner asking them to keep a check on the traffic movement in a bid to avoid road accidents due to very low visibility on the highways.
As per the IMD Mid Day Weather Bulletin, yellow warning of dense fog has been issued for the districts of Kandhamal, Angul, Boudh, Kalahandi and Sonepur.
For other districts of Odisha, the IMD has forecast dry weather.
The highest maximum temperature of 33.2 degree C was recorded at Bhawanipatna and the lowest minimum temperature of 12.5 degree C was recorded at Plulbani in the plains of Odisha.
It further stated that there will be no large change in minimum night temperature and it will be above normal by 2 to 3 degree C at many places during next 4 days. The minimum temperature is also likely to fall gradually by 2 to 3 degree C from January 30, it stated.
