Bhubaneswar: The well-marked low-pressure area over west-central and adjoining north-west Bay of Bengal off north Andhra Pradesh and south Odisha coasts is likely to intensify into a depression during the next 24 hours, the India Meteorological Department (IMD)’s regional centre informed on Saturday.
According to its midday bulletin, an orange warning for heavy to very heavy rainfall has been issued in Gajapati, Ganjam, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Nabarangpur, Rayagada, Balangir, Koraput, Boudh and Nayagarh till 8.30 am of September 11 and in Nabarangpur, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Nuapada, Balangir, Sonepur, Boudh, and Bargarh from 8.30 am of September 11 till 8.30 am of September 12.
Heavy rainfall is likely to occur in several districts of Odisha till September 13.
