Bhubaneswar: The depression over southwest and adjoining southeast Bay of Bengal is likely to maintain its intensity and move slowly west-northwestwards towards North Tamilnadu-Puducherry and south Andhra Pradesh coasts during the next 48 hours, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said on Sunday.
According to the midday bulletin, dry weather will prevail in Odisha with light to moderate rain at some places in the next two days. Thundershowers are likely in Gajapati, Ganjam, Kandhamal, Malkangiri, Rayagada, and Koraput on November 21 and Gajapati, Rayagada, Malkangiri, Koraput and Nabarangpur on November 22.
Dry weather will continue to prevail thereafter with little change in the minimum temperature during the next four to five days. Bhubaneswar may experience fog/mist on Monday morning while the night temperature may hover around 17 degree Celsius, it added.
Notably, Similiguda in Koraput and G Udayagiri in Kandhamal were the coldest places in Odisha at 8 degree Celsius last night. A total of 22 places in the state recorded a minimum temperature of 15 degree Celsius and below.
