Deputy CM KV Singhdeo To Represent Odisha In Centre’s Pre-Budget & GST Council Meeting In New Delhi

Bhubaneswar: Odisha’s deputy chief minister KV Singhdeo will attend the Finance Ministry’s pre-Budget and GST Council meeting in New Delhi.

According to a press release of chief minister’s office (CMO) on Thursday, the Finance Ministry of the Central government will hold a meeting of the finance ministers of all states and Union Territories at Vigyan Bhavan in New Delhi on June 22.

The finance ministers from the states will submit their suggestions as part of the exercise to prepare the Union Budget to be tabled by the Finance Minister in the Parliament. The state ministers will also attend the GST Council meeting on the occasion.

Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, who also holds Finance portfolio, will not be able to attend the meeting due to his prior engagement. Deputy Chief Minister Singhdeo will represent him in the meeting, the release stated.
