Rayagada: The Odisha government on Monday suspended Rayagada Deputy Collector with immediate effect for dereliction of duty.
The officer has been identified as Purna Chandra Jena.
In COVID situation, Jena was working as Officer on Special Duty (OSD) at Patrapur Block in Ganjam on deployment basis.
The notification said that the deputy collector during the period of his suspension shall be at the Collectorate and will not be allowed to leave the headquarters without obtaining prior permission from the Rayagada collector.
