Bhubaneswar: Deputy Director of Information & Public Relations (I&PR) department Prafulla Mallick died of a heart attack in Bhubaneswar on Friday.
Mallick (56), who was also Chief Public Relations Officer of Odisha State Chief Election Commissioner, complained of chest pain while he playing badminton early on Friday. He was rushed to Capital Hospital where doctors declared him dead.
Officials and other employees of the PR Department expressed shock at his untimely death. Information and Public Relations Minister Pradip Amat also expressed deep grief over his demise.
