Deputy Ranger In Vigilance Net In Odisha’s Kalahandi

Bhubaneswar: Deputy Ranger of a mobile party under Divisional Forest Officer, North Division, Nrutyaraj Majhi was intercepted by the Vigilance for possessing Rs 1,50,000 cash which he could not account for.

Following complaints, the Vigilance intercepted him near Laxmipur while he was returning from duty on a two-wheeler from Bhawanipatna in the afternoon.

On search, suspected ill gotten cash of Rs 1,50,000 was found in his possession. As he could not account for the money, the cash as well as his two-wheeler have been seized.

His residential house and brick factory at Laxmipur are being searched. Investigation into the case is on.
