Mumbai: Legendary actor Dev Anand‘s son, Suneil Anand, has passed away at the age of 70. His death was confirmed by the family to PTI on Tuesday.
Dev Anand’s niece, Gina Narang, also issued a statement on behalf of the family, requesting privacy during this difficult time.
“With heavy hearts, our family mourns the passing of Suneil Anand. We are comforted by the outpouring of love, prayers, and support, for which we are truly grateful. We kindly request privacy as we navigate this difficult time together,” the statement read.
The family did not disclose the cause of Suneil Anand’s death. He was the only son of legendary actor Dev Anand and actor Kalpana Kartik.
Suneil appeared in films such as ‘Anand Aur Anand’ (1984), ‘Car Thief’ (1986), ‘Main Tere Liye’ (1988), and ‘Master’.
He later ventured into filmmaking, making his directorial debut with the martial arts film ‘Master’, which was released in 2001.
