Puri: A devotee from Madhya Pradesh died on Jagannath Temple premises here on Thursday morning.
He has been identified as Anurat Singh (67).
According to sources, Singh had come to the temple with his family for a darshan of the sibling deities. He complained of uneasiness while still inside the temple premise and was rushed Puri district headquarters hospital. However, doctors declared him dead.
Singhadwara Police later sent the body for postmortem and registered a case of unnatural death.
