Puri: Two devotees made donations to the Lord Jagannath temple here on Monday.
A retired teacher donated Rs 20 lakh to Shree Jagannath Temple Administration.
The teacher is Rabindra Kumar Dash, a native of Khaira in Balasore district donated Rs 20 lakh to Mahaprabhu in two cheques, informed Ajay Jena, Development Administrator of Shree Jagannath Temple Administration.
The money will be saved as fixed deposited in bank and the interest incurred from it will be used for serving free Mahaprasad to devotees as per the wish of Dash, said Jena.
Similarly, another donor donated three silver plates weighing 4.665 kg. The donor is Sibaram Padhi of Gajapati Nagar in Puri town. The plates will used for Lord Jagannath, said Jena.
