Bhubaneswar: Rain failed to dampen festive spirit in the city as devotees in large numbers flocked to Kali temples, including those at Satya Nagar and Baramunda.
“The rituals associated with Maa Kali began early in the morning with Kaalash Puja and Upachar Puja. Special rituals, including Shayama
Kali Puja, Chandi Patha and Homa, will be performed at midnight. The goddess will be worshiped in different ‘Veshas’ for the next 10 days here,” said a priest of Maa Satya Kali Peetha at Satya Nagar.
A slew of entertainment facilities, including Meena Bazaar, Ram Doli and temporary food stalls, have been put to lure visitors coming from different parts of the city.
