Vedanta Aluminium Kicks Off Grand Rath Yatra 2026 Celebrations at Its Operations
Bhubaneswar: Vedanta Aluminium has launched vibrant Rath Yatra celebrations across its facilities, combining cultural festivities with extensive community service and pilgrim support initiatives in Odisha and Chhattisgarh.
The company is marking the sacred festival by organising events at its plant locations while extending support to devotees near Shree Jagannath Temple in Puri. These efforts aim to foster community participation, promote cultural heritage, and provide practical assistance to lakhs of pilgrims during one of Odisha’s most important festivals.
Rooted in the spirit of seva (selfless service), Vedanta Aluminium’s initiatives include distributing food and drinking water, deploying volunteers to assist pilgrims, hosting devotional and cultural programmes, promoting traditional art forms, and partnering with local authorities. The company has also incorporated environmentally conscious practices to ensure safe and inclusive celebrations.

Festivities at Plant Locations
In Jharsuguda, Odisha, more than 10,000 employees, business partners, and local residents participated in a grand week-long celebration featuring devotional music, theatre, dance performances, and community-led cultural events that highlighted spiritual devotion and social bonding.At the Lanjigarh alumina refinery in Odisha, this year’s event held special significance as the employee township celebrated its first Rath Yatra at the newly established Jagannath Temple. Over 2,000 devotees received prasad, while the programme included traditional rituals, performances by devotional artists, classical Odissi dance, and employee cultural showcases.
In Korba, Chhattisgarh, nearly 4,000 employees, partners, and community members joined the celebrations at BALCO. The events featured traditional rituals such as Puja, Chhera Panhara, and Pahandi, along with cultural performances including Jagaran and Karma dance. More than 4,000 devotees were served Khichdi Prasad and Bhandara, embodying the festival’s ethos of inclusivity and selfless service.
