New Delhi: Travel and visa restrictions, which were in place vis-à-vis the COVID-19 pandemic, have been further extended till October 31.
According to a circular issued by the Director General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) on Wednesday, as part of Unlock 5.0 guidelines, this restriction on international commercial passenger services shall not apply to international all-cargo operations and flights specifically approved by DGCA.
However, international scheduled flights may be allowed on selected routes by competent authority on a case to case basis.
Regular international flights to and from India have been suspended since March 23 this year due to the coronavirus-induced nationwide shutdown. Though several sectors have been opened in phases since June, normal international flights haven’t flights haven’t been resumed yet.
