Bhubaneswar: Director General of Police (DGP) Rajendra Prasad Sharma inaugurated a new police outpost at Magnetic Square near KIIT University here on Tuesday.
The DGP, in his inaugural address, said, “With the new police outpost, better security and vigil will be beefed up in the locality. Besides, our emphasis will be on intensifying patrolling during sensitive hours in the day and at night.”
Speaking on the occasion, twin cities police commissioner Y B Khurania said this is the first among the three outposts sanctioned by the state government.
Among others, KIIT and KISS founder Dr. Achyuta Samanta and senior police personnel were present.
