DGP Stresses On Steps To Curb Crime During Festive Season In Twin Cities

Bhubaneswar: DGP Abhay on Saturday took stock of arrangements to ensure a peaceful celebration during festive season in the twin cities of Bhubaneswar and Cuttack at a high-level meeting.

Emphasising on the need for maintaining law and order in the two cities, especially during Durga Puja, he directed for stern action against those demanding ‘chanda’ (donation).

Considering the prevailing COVID-19 situation, the DGP told the police officers to focus on crowd management at puja mandaps during the Durga Puja and take disciplinary action against those violating the prescribed COVID guidelines.

Police Commissioner Sudhanshu Sarangi, Additional DG (Crime), Director of Intelligence, Additional DG (Law and Order), IG (Law and Order) and DCPs of Cuttack and Bhubaneswar attended the meeting.
