Nayagarh: A dhaba owner was allegedly shot dead by some unidentified miscreants at Rajkanika under Khandapada block in Nayagarh district on Saturday night.
The deceased was identified as Adhiswar Behera.
Following the incident, an irate mob staged a blockade near the dhaba on Bhubaneswar-Gania Road demanding immediate arrest of the accused.
According to reports, a group of miscreants came on a motorcycle and opened fire on Behera when he was about to close his dhaba.
Police rushed to the spot after being informed about the incident and questioned the locals, who suspect that he was killed over past enmity. Further investigation is on.
