New Delhi: Superstar Rajinikanth got a standing ovation as he received the 51st Dadasaheb Phalke Award from Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu at 67th National Film Awards ceremony held here on Monday.
Best Actress award went to Kangana Ranaut for Manikarnika and Panga. Dhanush and Manoj Bajpayee received the Best Actor award for “Asuran” and “Bhonsle” respectively.
Priyadarshan’s period epic Marakkar: Lion of the Arabian Sea starring Mohanlal won the Best Feature Film while Sushant Singh Rajput’s last theatrical release Chhichhore got the Best Hindi Film award.
The awards, which were announced in March 2021, honoured the best in cinema in 2019.
