Bhubaneswar: Union Education and Skill Development Minister Dharmendra Pradhan on Thursday distributed appointment letters to 231 youths of Odisha as part of the Rozgar Mela launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Addressing the new appointees at an event organised in Bhubaneswar, Dharmendra said that the Narendra Modi government at the Centre is committed to giving right opportunities to the talent and energy of youth to fulfill the vision of a developed India.
The Union Minister said that the Centre has allocated Rs 10 lakh crore in the annual budget this year to create employment opportunities across the country.
Because of the Centre’s dynamic policies, Odisha is is now able to get over Rs 50,000 crore in the form of mining revenue, which is directly benefiting the youth and women of the state, said Dharmendra.
Congratulating the new recruits, the Minister said this is an opportunity for them to contribute towards the development of the country.
Stating that the new recruits should use modern technology in order to enhance their skills in the days ahead, he urged them to help the needy people of the society.
The dignitaries present on the occasion included Bhubneswar MP Aparajita Sarangi, East Cost Railway (ECoR) General Manager Manoj Sharma, AIIMS-Bhubaneswar Executive Director Dr Ashutash Biswas, senior officials from GSI, Rourkela Steel Plant, BSNL and IIT-Bhubaneswar.
It may be noted that Prime Minister Narendra Modi gave appointment letters to around 71,000 newly inducted recruits in the central government through video conference today.
The Union Minister also extended his greetings to the people on the occasion of the 75th Foundation Day of Bhubaneswar.
