New Delhi: Former education minister, Dharmendra Pradhan, received a rousing welcome at Parliament on Tuesday morning, reports state.
This was his first public appearance since announcing resignation as education minister owing to protests over NEET paper leaks. As he stepped down from his car at the Parliament premises, he was greeted by reporters. Several NDA MPs surrounded him and shouted “Dharmendra Pradhan zindabad” slogans.
Pradhan stepped down from the post of education minister amid massive calls for his resignation over the NEET-UG paper leak.
Pradhan had said he was resigning for the sake of students and their future. BJP MPs hailed him as a big education reformer. They highlighted his contributions during his tenure in the union cabinet.
