Dharmendra Pradhan Releases Commemorative Postage Stamps On Legendary Odisha Poets, Cultural Heritage

Sambalpur: Union Education and Skill Development Minister Dharmendra Pradhan on Tuesday released eight commemorative postage stamps on legendary poets of Odisha and cultural heritage of western region of the state.

The Union Minister released the commemorative postage stamps at Sambalpur University during visit to the western Odisha city.

Dharmendra released commemorative postage stamps on legendary poets Bhima Bhoi and Gangadhar Meher at a function held at the university auditorium.

He also released commemorative stamps on Nuakhai and Sitalasasthi festivals as well as Sambalpuri dance, highlighting the rich cultural heritage of the region. Commemorative stamps were also released on Sambalpuri bandha weaving style & design as well as the famous Dhanuyatra of Bargarh.

The Union Minister also inaugurated 42 branch post offices of Sambalpur, Bargarh, Deogarh, Jharsuguda and Sundargarh divisions.
