Bhubaneswar: Union Petroleum and Natural Gas Minister Dharmendra Pradhan on Sunday praised the efforts of the four Central health institutes in Odisha to contain the spread of COVID-19 in the state.
Briefing the media after a meeting with Regional Medical Research Centre (RMRC) Director Sanghamitra Pati, AIIMS, Bhubaneswar Director Gitanjali Batmanabane, ILS Director Ajay Kumar Parida and an expert of the International Centre for Foot & Mouth Disease (ICFMD), the Union minister said that these four Central institutions are doing a great job in association with the state government in the fight against COVID-19.
He also praised the efforts of Central PSUs Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL), Mahanadi Coalfields Limited (MCL), National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC), Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL) and Paradip Port Trust (PPT) for setting up COVID hospitals and testing laboratories in the state.
Lauding the relentless efforts of the COVID warriors amid the pandemic situation, Dharmendra urged the people to strictly adhere to COVID-19 guidelines until vaccines are available in the market.
