Dhenkanal: Dhenkanal Assistant Collector Ranjan Kumar Rout passed away at a private hospital in Bhubaneswar around 7:30 pm on Wednesday.
He was also DI&PRO in-charge of the Dhenkanal district.
According to the medical reports accessed by Odisha Bytes, the 57-year-old died of COVID-19 pneumonia and septic shock. He was suffering from chronic kidney disease and Type 2 diabetes. He was honored as a COVID warrior during his cremation in Bhubaneswar.
Taking the twitter, the district administration wrote, ” With profound grief, this is to inform that, Sri Ranjan Kumar Rout, ORS, Asst Collector & in charge DI&PRO, Collectorate, Dhenkanal has passed away on 2-9-2020 at 7.30 PM in a private hospital, Bhubaneswar. I express my deep condolence. We pray the departed soul may Rest in Peace.”
