Dhoni’s Heroics In Vain As KXIP Beats CSK By 4 Runs

Mohali: Kings XI Punjab ended Chennai’s winning run as it defeated CSK by four runs in the IPL on Sunday.

Punjab, who were off to a solid start, posted a challenging total of 197/7, thanks to the flying start by Rahul (37 runs in 22 balls) and Gayle (63 runs in 33 balls). The duo put 96 runs on the board in eight overs.

None of the Chennai players including Shane Watson (11), Murali Vijay (12) and Ravindra Jadeja (19) failed to impress with the bat.

Though Ambati Rayadu (49) and Mahendra Singh Dhoni (79 not out) added life into the game, they fell short of four runs and went down fighting against the KXIP.
