Mumbai: The much-awaited action sequel ‘Dhurandhar: The Revenge’, starring Ranveer Singh, has reportedly received an Adults-Only (18+) certification from the Irish Censor Board ahead of its global theatrical release.
According to the details available online, the rating was issued due to the film’s intense content, including violent action sequences, strong violence, explicit language and moderate sex and nudity.
The classification of
fers audiences an early glimpse into the gritty and high-octane tone the sequel is likely to deliver.
Along with the rating, the film’s runtime has also been revealed.
‘Dhurandhar: The Revenge’ is listed at approximately 235 minutes, making it one of the longest mainstream Bollywood films in recent years.
The sequel runs nearly 30 minutes longer than its first installment ‘Dhurandhar’, which had a runtime of around 214 minutes.
Directed by Aditya Dhar, the film continues the story established in the original ‘Dhurandhar’, which went on to become the highest-grossing Bollywood film of the year.
Reports suggest that the film’s all-India advance booking has already crossed ₹31.9 crore gross.
The film is slated to release in theatres worldwide on March 19, with preview shows scheduled to begin on March 18.
