Bhubaneswar: People can now dial the toll-free number 112 for any emergency service in Odisha.
Odisha Police informed this in a tweet on Monday.
Police informed that the emergency numbers 100 (police), 101 (fire) and 102 and 108 (ambulance) are now integrated with the Emergency Response Support System (ERSS). Therefore people should call 112 for assistance pertaining to police, fire services and medical emergencies.
Earlier on March 19, Chief Minister Patnaik had launched the ‘Dial 112’ ERSS.
The integrated single-number service will be very beneficial for everyone, especially women and the elderly, the CM had said during the launch.
