Did KL Rahul Visit Strip Club? Wife Athiya Shetty Hits Back

London: KL Rahul is out of action, having undergone a thigh surgery earlier this month.

An injury he picked up while fielding in an IPL match between Lucknow Super Giants and Royal Challengers Bangalore ruled him out for the remainder of the T20 league as well as the upcoming World Test Championship final.

But despite being far from the cricket field, the Team India batsman courted controversy.

A video clip of Rahul allegedly visiting a strip club even as he was recuperating post surgery was posted on social media, leading to adverse reactions.

Rahul himself hasn’t reacted, but his actress wife Athiya Shetty took to Instagram to dismiss the rumour.

“I usually choose to be silent and not react, but sometimes it’s important to stand up for yourself. Rahul, I and out friends went out to a regular place, as one does. Stop taking things out of context and check your facts before reporting. Peace and Love,” wrote Athiya, who is on vacation with Rahul in the UK.
