Mumbai: Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan’s new ad for a jewellery brand has become the talk of the town — because of the actor’s apparently transformed facial features.
Some social media users believe that Shah Rukh has got de-ageing and VFX work done on his face, especially the nose, but there has been no confirmation.
Reddit users claimed that in the viral ad, Shah Rukh’s nose, which is broad at the bottom, has been digitally altered as it looks “thinner, sharper and narrower.”
One person wrote, “Why is Shah Rukh’s nose being VFXed even in ads?”
Another user commented, “Digital de-ageing is making him look like a CGI character.”
“Fans will hate me for this, but he himself is sadly insecure of it, and since he has the means to change, he’s changing it, that’s all,” read one comment.
“So sad to watch. He doesn’t even look real,” was someone’s blunt observation.
“I think he’s helping his company perfect this tech, and he has put himself as the subject of their experimentation and constant feedback for improvement,” remarked one person.
Here are some of the other comments:
“He looks like his lookalike more now.”
“It’s so sad that I cannot even identify AI now, it’s at that level.”
“There’s also that ad with Sanya Malhotra where he looks fake.”
“Why’re you insecure now? You’re the biggest superstar.”
“His nose looks different here. Definitely vfxed.”
“Meri khud ki red chellies jesi company hoti to me bhi yhi krta.”
“How do you guys know it’s digitally altered? Looks the same to me. It’s his skin that looks suspiciously smooth.”
