Did Shah Rukh, Salman Give Asha Bhosle’s Funeral A Miss Due To Security Reasons?

Mumbai: As members of the film and music fraternity gathered in large numbers at Asha Bhosle’s Mumbai residence on Monday to pay their last respects, the absence of two of Bollywood’s biggest stars, Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan, drew attention.

As per a report by Deccan Chronicle, it is learnt that both Shah Rukh and Salman were present in Mumbai that day.

Sources suggest that the two superstars chose to give the veteran’s funeral a miss citing “security reasons.”

However, there has been no official confirmation about the same.

While the two superstars couldn’t attend the funeral in person, they paid tribute to the legendary singer through posts on social media.

Salman tweeted, “A huge loss for Indian music…. Heartbroken to hear about Asha ji. An irreplaceable voice, Your songs will continue to inspire generations.”

Shah Rukh posted, “It’s truly sad to learn about Asha Tai’s passing… her voice has been one of the pillars of Indian cinema and will continue to resonate world over for centuries to come. A talent that will outlive many, she always showered me with blessings and love and i will miss her. Rest in Peace Asha Tai… love you.”

Meanwhile, Aamir Khan, completing the trio of Khans, was present at the gathering, standing by the Mangeshkar family and offering his support during their time of grief.
