So, they naturally end up playing Holi too. So what do you do if the phone that you price the most, gets drenched? Most smartphone brands do not cover water damage even if the phone is under warranty.
Here are some steps to protect your phone if it gets drenched.
- Turn off the device
- Switching it off increases the chances of its survival
- In the case of features phones, remove the battery
- Do not shake the smartphone
- Do not use a hair dryer to dry the phone
- It might push the water inside the phone
- Dab the water off the surface
- Keep the smartphone idle for the rest of the day
- You can also put it in a bag of rice for at least six hours
- Avoid charging the phone while it is idle
- Remove the SIM card and tray from the phone
- As a precaution, you can also put your phone in a plastic pouch before playing
