Balasore: A differently-abled girl was allegedly raped by a youth at Chhada village under Baliapala police limits in Balasore district on Tuesday.
The accused has been identified as Tampada Gochhayat. He belongs to Balikoti village.
According to sources, Gochhayat entered the house of the victim, when she was alone and allegedly raped her. Hearing screams, neighbours rushed to the spot and rescued her. They also caught hold of the accused and beat him black and blue. Later, they handed him over to the police.
Further investigation is underway.
