Dinesh Karthik Powers India To Victory In Nihadas Trophy Final

Colombo: It was wicketkeeper-batsman Dinesh Karthik day on the crease, who scored 29 runs off eight balls as India beat Bangladesh by four wickets in a thriller final of the Nidahas Trophy T20 tri-series at the R.Premadasa Stadium on Sunday night.
Karthik, who came at a stage, when India was reeling under pressure knocked two sixes and a four in first three balls to narrow the ball-run gap.
The last over turned out to be most crucial, with India needing five runs in the last ball. Karthik slammed a maximum to win the match for India.
While batting first, Bangladesh batsman Sabbir Rahman (50-ball 77) helped his team to post a challenging target of 166/8, after they were reeling at 68/4 at one stage, thanks to Yuzvendra Chahal (3/18) and Washington Sundar, who tool three and one wicket respectively.
