Dino Morea Arrested In Alleged Rs 65.54-Crore Mithi River Scam Case

Mumbai: Actor Dino Morea has been arrested by the Mumbai Police’s Economic Offences Wing (EOW) in connection with the Rs 65.54-Crore Mithi River Scam Case.

The actor was arrested on October 2 after being questioned for nearly eight hours at his Bandra residence, according to Mid-Day report.

The case involves alleged financial irregularities in contracts for the desilting and rejuvenation of Mumbai’s Mithi River, with investigators probing contractors, intermediaries and civic officials.

The alleged irregularities are said to have caused the BMC a loss of ₹65.54 crore.

Morea was previously questioned by the EOW in May 2025 along with his brother Santino Morea after investigators found phone records linking them to people connected to the probe.

The agency was also examining financial transactions involving Santino’s company, UBO Ridez, and individuals linked to the case.

The probe has also centred on Ketan Kadam, who was arrested in 2025 and is among the accused in the case.

Investigators are examining alleged irregularities in the awarding of civic contracts and payments linked to the river-cleaning work.

The Enforcement Directorate had earlier searched Morea’s residence as part of its probe, along with other locations linked to people under scrutiny.
